For centuries, the Church has encouraged youth choirs as a way of nurturing faith, discipline, and excellence in sacred music. Here at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, we are blessed to continue this tradition through our thriving Cathedral Children’s Choir and Choir School.

Founded in 2009 and based at Stella Maris Academy, the Cathedral Choir School offers students a rigorous music curriculum shaped by Catholic tradition.
Children learn music of all eras and styles, with special attention to Gregorian chant and sacred polyphony, as encouraged by the Church’s liturgical documents.
Directed by an experienced and passionate conductor, the program introduces young singers to high-quality music from the start — ensuring they develop the skills, discipline, and appreciation that will stay with them for life.
