Archdiocesan COVID-19 Updates

Here, you’ll find the latest information on how the Archdiocese of San Francisco is responding to the world-wide COVID-19 pandemic.

Welcome

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, in union with the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, and Pope Francis, encourages the Faithful to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 by getting vaccinated.  The Archbishop also urges you to join him in a letter writing campaign addressed to specific pharmaceutical companies urging them to develop vaccines that do not rely on cell lines derived from aborted children.

You can get clear answers to what the Catholic Church teaches on the morality of vaccinations by reading this Frequently Asked Questions page on Vaccine Mandates.  Below you will find the latest updates on the Archdiocese of San Francisco’s response to COVID-19.
