Sable Horton is the Founder and Director of Shades of Beauty, a nonprofit organization based in the Bay Area. She is a Bay Area native, entrepreneur, speaker, writer, dancer/performer, activist, and a modern-day abolitionist. Born in Vallejo, CA, Sable has lived and been raised across the Bay. Her journey has been marked by overcoming challenges, including growing up in a single-parent household and facing emotional and mental health struggles. Despite these obstacles, she graduated from middle school, high school, and college. However, she realized that many other girls and women were still stuck in life’s cracks. In response, she launched Shades of Beauty to reach out to those ensnared in similar situations and help them find their way out1Sable is also the CEO and Founder of Shades of Beauty, which exists to foster, equip, and transform girls and women into the trailblazers they were born to be2.
