2024 Red Mass

The St. Thomas More Society of San Francisco will host the annual Red Mass at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in San Francisco on Thursday, September 19 at 6:00 p.m. with a dinner to follow. Albany Bishop Scharfenberger will concelebrate the Mass with Archbishop Cordileone and deliver the homily.

Dating back to the thirteenth century, the Red Mass is traditionally celebrated at the opening of each Court year and seeks blessing and guidance for judges, attorneys, law school professors, law students, government officials, and others involved in the legal and justice systems.
