In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) has been in the news a lot lately. But what does it mean for the physical and emotional health of parents and children? What does it mean for society? What does it mean within God's plan for human flourishing? Jennifer Lahl, a renowned bio-ethicist, will explore these topics. Ms. Lahl is the founder of the Center for Bioethics and Culture Network. With 25 years of experience as a pediatric critical care nurse, a hospital administrator, her writings have appeared in various publications including Cambridge University Press, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Dallas Morning News, and the American Journal of Bioethics. As a field expert, she is routinely interviewed on radio and television including ABC, CBS, PBS, and NPR. Join us for this timely event!
The talk will be followed by a wine and cheese reception.
Ms. Lahl is the author of the book Detransition Diaries which will be available for sale at the event. The book recounts the stories of five women and two men who felt they were born in the wrong body and believed the lie they were told that they could be their "true" selves by medically and surgically altering their bodies.
