Join the National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi for the St. Padre Pio Festival.
Saint Pio Festival Daily Program:
8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.: Veneration of the Holy Relics of Saint Padre Pio at the National Shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi & La Porziuncola Nuova. Devotional items are available.
10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.: Photo Gallery and Video Documentary at La Porziuncola Nuova
11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.: “Meet Padre Pio”. A conversation about Padre Pio by Father Robert (Bobby) Barbato, OFM Cap. and Franciscan Capuchin Friars of the National Shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi, in the Shrine Reception Hall. Sessions start every 30 minutes. Each session lasts 25 minutes and is limited to no more than 50 participants.
12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M.: Procession to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church and return to the National Shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi.
3:30 P.M.: Mass in honor of Saint Padre Pio at the National Shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi.
5:00 P.M.: Benefit concert performed by award-winning singer and songwriter Giada Valenti, and acclaimed Italian tenor Luciano Lamonarca, with the participation of comedian Mike Marino. Master of Ceremonies: Fabio G. Giotta of the famous Caffe Trieste.
7:00 P.M.: Three-course dinner at the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club. Dinner Emcee: Joe Fonzi, Emmy Award Winning SF Bay Area KTVU-FOX 2 Sports Anchor & Reporter
Extra: Vendors activities will be present at Piazza Saint Francis.
