LAUDATO SI’ CONTEST
Safe Water for All
Students in grades K-12 who live and/or attend school in the three counties of the Archdiocese of San Francisco are invited to participate in the Laudato Si’ Contest during the 2022 Season of Creation.
The contest’s theme is Safe Water for All. In his encyclical Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home, Pope Francis devotes a section to the issue of water. It is also an issue we face in California, with severe drought leading to water restrictions.
Students will be asked to think about the importance of water and how it relates to Church teaching on human dignity, using specific resources to guide their responses.
The contest deadline has now passed. Teachers and students who are planning to attend the awards reception on February 23 at 4 p.m. are asked to RSVP using the form below:
