Beginning of Life

The Catechism of the Catholic Church emphasizes that human life is sacred from its very beginning. This belief is rooted in the understanding that life involves the creative action of God. The Church teaches that:

  • Human life is a gift from God: It is created by God and remains in a special relationship with Him.
  • No right to destroy innocent life: The Catechism asserts that no one can claim the right to destroy innocent human beings under any circumstances.

Below we will touch on the potential dangers that destroy human life from its very beginning; chemical abortion, surrogacy and contraception.
However we also share that the Church points us to the good news. One such good news is the many ways in which we can be part of protecting this life and encourage more life in an ethical way. On our upcoming webinar on Fertility you can learn more how the teachings of the Church work to help you and your family thrive.
